In general terms relevant legislation and regulation refers to:

• Commonwealth Privacy (applies to corporations with an annual turnover greater than $3m under the small business exemption arrangements. The Queensland Information Privacy Act 2000 will generally not be applicable to privately owned Registered Training Organisations).
• Education Reform Act
• Education Services for Overseas Students
• The National Code of Practice for Overseas Students
• The Australian Student Visa Program administered by the Department of Immigration and Citizenship
• Any other legislation or regulations identified as relevant to the Registered Training Organisation
